Jarnes A/S ("Jarnes", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our customers', employees', suppliers', applicants' and other stakeholders' information, including personal data. This external privacy policy contains information about Jarnes' processing of personal data as a data controller.

Below, you can read more about who we process personal data about, what information is processed, for what purposes the data is processed and the basis of processing.

 

Customers

We collect and process personal data in connection with customer administration. We collect only the personal data necessary for the agreed purposes.

 

What information is collected

General personal data, including information about the name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and account details of customers. We often also process the name, telephone number and e-mail address of the customer's contact persons. 

 

Purposes for which the information is collected and the basis for collection

We process general personal data for the purpose of performing an agreement or complying with a contract with the customer, including;

 

  • Deliver services

  • Invoice

  • Quality control and monitoring

 

The processing of personal data is also necessary for Jarnes to pursue a legitimate interest in administering, managing and developing our business and services, including;

 

  • Strengthening our relationship with customers

  • Developing our business and services by identifying customer needs and paying attention to their industries

  • Carrying out statistical processing and business development

 

Suppliers

We collect and process personal data about our suppliers, including individuals employed by suppliers.

 

What information is collected

We process only general information, including contact details.

 

For what purposes is the information collected

We process the personal data for contract management purposes, as well as to receive goods and services from our suppliers. Our basis is for the performance of agreements and contracts to which suppliers are party.

 

Applicants

When you apply for a job with us, we receive and process a number of personal data about you.

 

When is the collection

When you send either an invited or unsolicited application to Jarnes, your personal data is collected. You can choose to send your application through several channels, including the form under the "Job" function at www.jarnes.net, to any specified email address, or directly to our address; Håndværkervej 34, 9320 Hjallerup.

 

What information is collected

The collection includes only general information typically linked to a CV, including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. You decide whether to attach a portrait photo, references, certificates or diplomas. By submitting this information to Jarnes, you automatically consent to us recording and processing your information.

 

For what purposes is the information collected

The purpose of collecting personal data about you in the recruitment process is to assess whether you are a qualified candidate for a position at Jarnes.

 

Information from Social Media

When recruiting for positions with a focus on customer and collaborative relationships, it may be appropriate for us to conduct a search on social media, including LinkedIn and Facebook.

We use the balancing of interests rule in Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR as a legal basis to obtain information about candidates from social media. We do this in order to assess whether you have a profile that fits the company and the specific position.

 

Information from previous employer

For some positions, it is necessary to obtain references from previous employers. If we obtain references from one or more of your previous employers, we will record the information we receive.

 

We use your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the Data Protection Regulation as the legal basis for processing this data and you will therefore be asked to give your consent before we contact one or more of your former employers. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us using the contact details above. If you withdraw your consent, it will only take effect from that moment. It therefore does not affect the lawfulness of our processing of the data up to the point at which you withdraw your consent.

 

Keep application for later recruitment

In some situations, even if you have been rejected, we may want to keep your application for future recruitment. If we want to save your application, we will ask for your consent to this.

 

Visitors to Jarnes' websites

We collect your personal data that you provide on Jarnes' websites; www.jarnes.dk and  www.jarnes-shop.dk.  

 

When is the collection


When you visit www.jarnes.dk or www.jarnes-shop.dk, you will be informed about the collection of your personal data. Use of services on Jarnes' websites, such as ordering goods or applying for a job, requires you to provide certain personal data. The same applies if you subscribe to our newsletters.

 

What information is collected

The personal data that Jarnes collects includes your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, company address, job title and similar identifying information, as well as account information when ordering goods online. When applying for a job, you choose whether you want to add additional supporting documents such as references, certificates or diplomas, as described above.

 

For what purposes is the information collected

Jarnes collects your personal data in order to provide a given service or to send you newsletters and other information about our company and our products. In addition, Jarnes collects your personal data for internal market research, targeted marketing and statistics.

 

Our basis for processing personal data is, therefore, your consent or for Jarnes to pursue a legitimate interest in developing its business and customising its marketing.

Jarnes strives to protect the quality and integrity of your personal data to the best of its ability. Therefore, Jarnes has implemented special security measures to this effect.

Jarnes collects personal data directly from you.

 

Disclosure of personal data

Only selected persons from the administration have access to the personal data, and therefore personal data in Jarnes is only processed by employees for whom it is relevant. We only disclose personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so and the security measures are in place.

We also use third parties in the form of subcontractors, referred to as data processors, in connection with the provision of services, hosting, recruitment, IT and the sending of newsletters. Such third parties may in this context be entrusted with personal data necessary for them to provide the agreed service

Jarnes enters into the agreements necessary to ensure that security is in place to protect personal data and comply with our data protection obligations. If the transfer takes place to a third country outside the EU, the agreement will only be concluded with companies that are party to the Privacy Shield agreement.

 

Storage of personal data

Jarnes deletes personal data when there is no longer a legitimate work-related purpose for processing them. Personal data related to customers and suppliers are kept for as long as the relationship is relevant, while applications from candidates who are not hired by the company are generally kept for up to 6 months after the rejection of the candidates. Please note that we continue to store personal data on our backup, although personal data will be deleted from Jarnes' other systems.

 

 Your rights

As a data subject, you have certain rights which Jarnes, as data controller, is obliged to fulfil.

You can contact Jarnes and get insight into what personal data Jarnes processes about you, as well as have any incorrect personal data corrected. You can also have your personal data deleted if you no longer wish your personal data to appear at Jarnes. Furthermore, you can contact Jarnes if you wish to exercise your right to data portability.

When we process personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data, please contact us.
